Our Leadtime's
All Kipekee Studio pieces are carefully handcrafted in our facility on the North Coast of KZN. We do not carry stock of any of our products. Our lead times are based on workload and complexity of fabrication. Lead times range from 4 - 6 weeks.
Delivery and Shipping
We deliver nationwide with either our own team or with our trusted courier partners.
Items are thoroughly wrapped and packaged and are delivered fully assembled.
Reasonable efforts can be made for delivery to take place on an arranged time and date.
Materials
At Kipekee Studio we try to the best of our ability to use only environmentally friendly materials that meet our high standards for quality, durability, and aesthetics.
All our timbers are furniture grade kiln dried and either FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) or PEFC (Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) and carry Chain of Custody Certification.
Our standard fabric option is composed of 60% Recycled Polyester and 40% Polyester with a weight of 265g/m². Martindale rub count is 50,000 and colour fastness is 4. It is washable at 30°C on a gentle cycle.
Our eco fabric option is composed of 55% Recycled Polyester and 45% Organic Cotton with a weight of 340g/m². Martindale rub count is 40,000 and colour fastness is 5-6. It is washable at 30°C on a gentle cycle.
Our leather options are all genuine and are either full aniline, pure aniline or semi aniline. Their thickness is 0.9-1.1mm. Dry rub count is 500 CYCLES > 4 and wet rub count is 250 CYCLES > ¾. They are all bovine origin.
Manufacturing Process
Each piece is manufactured through a considered process that merges traditional joinery with advanced machining. Precision-cut components are assembled using time-honoured techniques, ensuring structural integrity and longevity, while modern technologies allow for exacting tolerances and refined finishes that define our Scandinavian aesthetic
Our Finishes
We use Jaxoleum single coat oil-based wood stain to treat all our timber products. For care instructions on our timber products please refer to the link on our website or request it directly.
Customization
All our items are customizable. Contact us with your requirements for a quotation. Additional charges and lead times may apply.
Warranty
A 4-year manufacturing warranty is included with our products. This covers the workmanship and structural integrity of our timber products. Should the original product be altered in any way, the warranty will be voided.
