Thank you for taking your time to read through our terms and conditions of sale.
We (Kipekee) appreciate your business and value you (the customer). Your purchase of products from us constitutes your agreement to follow these terms and conditions and be bound by them.
Price & Payment for Delivery
Prices are in South African Rand. You requesting a quotation constitutes an order. We require a 50% deposit for all orders and will only start the manufacturing process once the deposit amount reflects in our bank account. The deposit amount must be paid within 72 hours of us sending a quotation to you. If the deposit amount quoted is not paid within 72 hours, you will be contacted telephonically or via email and given 24 hours to pay the outstanding balance. If you fail to pay within this period the order will be cancelled and the product will not be manufactured. Once your product has been manufactured and is ready for shipping we will send you an invoice for the remainder of the amount due. You must pay the full amount due on the invoice before any part of the product is sent to you.
Your order is considered open when you request a quotation for a product from us and is considered complete when the product has been signed for by you. Lead times for your orders are 4-6 weeks after the deposit amount has been paid by you and reflects in our bank account. We aim to be as accurate as we can with delivery estimates but they are not binding. Delays may occur. All products are bespoke and made to order, therefore we do not accept any cancellations on orders for any reasons and deposits are non-refundable. We ask that you check the measurements of final placement location as well as access points to avoid disappointment, it is your responsibility to ensure that all ordered products fit into their intended location and that there is no restricted access. It is your responsibility to check your quotations to ensure that we will be providing the correct product including the correct finishes.
Delivery charges vary depending on the type of products ordered, distance travelled, and courier required. These charges cannot be refunded. Your quotation will show the delivery option chosen by you and the estimated cost of this delivery option. This estimated cost may change for various reasons. When changes in delivery cost do occur, we will provide you with the invoice from our courier to show actual costs incurred. We will pack the product in accordance with our packaging specifications for the product and the cost of packaging will be included in the amount quoted for delivery. We shall not be liable for any direct, indirect or consequential loss, costs, damages, charges or expenses caused directly or indirectly by any delay in the delivery of the product ordered, nor shall any delay entitle you to terminate or rescind the contract, unless such delay exceeds 180 days after the deposit amount shows in our bank account. Unless we have stated otherwise in writing, delivery dates are not guaranteed, although we shall make every reasonable effort to deliver the goods by any quoted delivery date.
Please check your items thoroughly prior to signing for them. If the items are not in perfect condition please do not accept them and contact us immediately. Once items have been signed for we will not accept any claims for the product being damaged in any way and will not be held responsible for any loss or damage whatsoever.
We supply high quality furniture grade wood. This may vary for grain, colour, knots and other markings. We do our best to select and match as appropriate but we cannot accept returns based on natural variations. We purchase and supply wood that has been dried to correct moisture content but sometimes warpage and shrinkage can occur, especially when the product is shipped to drier or more humid climates from where it was made. We cannot accept returns that stem from climactic differences. Should movement occur in the wood, addressing issues of temperature and moisture usually resolves the issue. Some products will require assembly upon delivery. You are responsible for the assembly of any products. We cannot be held liable for the incorrect assembly of any products by you or any third party and will not be held responsible for any damages caused to you or to the product due to incorrect assembly.
We offer a 6 month guarantee on all our products. We determine whether an exchange will be processed. You must contact us within 6 months of the order being complete and state the defects in the product. We may request photos of the defected product to assess whether an exchange will be processed. We will endeavour to solve and fix the problem, defect or default first before and exchange is made. Products exchanged for the same item due to reasons other than manufacturer defect may be subject to a redelivery fee. This guarantee does not apply to products that have been stored or assembled incorrectly, used inappropriately, abused, misused, altered, or cleaned using incorrect cleaning methods or cleaning products. This guarantee does not extend to normal wear and tear. Please note all sales are non-refundable.
We will only be liable for damages that may be suffered by the customer because of gross negligence or a wilful or intentional act or omission on the part of us. Please read, understand and comply with all the safety warnings available on our website or upon request.
